•Don’t be ashamed of your story
--Don’t be ashamed of your story.  Paul said, “I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).  We don’t need to be ashamed of the gospel story, and we don’t need to be ashamed of our own story, the story of what God has done in our lives.  As we make these spiritual friendships, it’s the story of what God has done in our lives that will be most powerful.  You don’t have to be a famous athlete or politician to have a powerful story.  You don’t to have a dramatic conversion story in order for God to use your story to touch one of your friends.  Just share what God has done and is doing in your life.  Share your joys and your struggles.

Spirit of God, give us a passion for your gospel story, and move us from our self interest and complacency.
