Our Beliefs

  • We believe that God is the creator of all things.

  • We believe that humankind, both male and female, is created in the image of God.

  • We believe that humankind freely chose to disobey God and, as a consequence of this act, came under the power of sin and that sin brought alienation from God and spiritual death.

  • We believe God loves every person and that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, in order that all may be restored to fellowship with Him and have eternal life.

  • We believe that through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from the grave, the power of sin is broken and the Believer enters into fellowship with God.

  • We believe that the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and are our sole authority in matters faith and practice.

  • We believe in the priesthood of every Believer and that every person is competent to interpret the scriptures for himself or herself under the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is composed of all Believers who have been baptized into Christ.

Our Church Covenant

United in the faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, revealed in history, disclosed in the Scriptures, and experienced in human life, we do solemnly and joyfully make this Covenant together:

  • That we will be faithful in the assembling of ourselves together for worship, be diligent in praying, both for ourselves and others, and be constant in our reading and studying of the Bible; (Prayer, Bible Study, Worship, Fellowship)

  • That we will be faithful stewards, as God has prospered us, contributing our financial support for the church and its ministries, and offering ourselves for God’s work in the world; (Stewardship)

  • That we will be a servant church, recognizing the infinite worth of every person and believing that Christ has called us to active involvement on behalf of human brotherhood; (Service)

  • That we will participate in each others’ joy, and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy to bear each others’ burdens and sorrows; (Fellowship)

  • That we will exercise a Christian care and watchfulness over each other, and that our differences will not separate us but rather increase our understanding and strengthen the bonds of Christian love; (Fellowship)

  • That we earnestly endeavor to take seriously the responsibility and privilege of personal Christian growth in our homes, and that we will, with God’s help, so live our lives that we might lead our kindred and acquaintances to know Jesus Christ our Lord; (Evangelism)

  • That we will, should we move from this church, unite with another church as soon as possible, where we can carry out the spirit of this Covenant; (Membership-Fellowship)

  • And that through life, in the midst of evil as well as good, we will seek to live to the glory of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. (Christian Living)
